A variator is a hydraulic pump, motor or combination thereof which can operate at varying speeds and torque. Kinetics Drive Solutions’ integrated pump motor (IPM) ┬áis a combined pump and motor system with a unique combination of input and output variator shafts. The design allows output to alter based on numerous factors including tractive force, motor speed, and driver demand. The single unit allows transmission designers to eliminate heavy hydraulic casings, by integrating the pump motor directly into the transmission package. This provides a very high power density not found in traditional designs. Implement the Kinetics Drive Solutions IPM into an existing drive solution for improved control and higher power to weight ratios.
